Hi Folks!,
I was doing a search for my girlfriend as i've got her driving lessons and and her theory booked for a couple of week away, That beside the point, I've done some research on how much her insurance would be for a certain car and it come up with £801 on gocompare, so i was pleased with that. However i went directly on the insurance website itself and it said a staggering 2900, Both filled with correct details and information, So my point is if i went directly via go compare and buy it, there nothing wrong? considering i've not lied?

Hi,
Double check the info entered on both websites
Check the compulsory and voluntary excesses applied via the comparison website
Check the "assumptions" made when applying though the comparison website - might not include something.
Check the information that is passed though from the comparison website to the insurer's site when you 'click though' from the comparison site as if you were to purchase.
If all is in order and you/your GF complies with the assumptions, then you are fine. Are you applying for her with a provisional or a full licence? The cost will increase once she has passed. Do not go with Quinn, as they are 1) rubbish in general and 2) will increase the premium dramaticaly. You are also best avoiding broker policies as they might typicaly charge a higher amount to update the policy when she has passed and you inform the insurer that she now has a full licence.0 -
Many thanks for that info...what i needed to hear!...i will now start comparing later or another time as no rush just yet.0

Was this Endsleigh by any chance? It happened with me, I could never fathom why, as the info I always put it was identical. Just check carefully and go with the cheaper gocompare one.0

Endsleigh are a broker, rather than an insurer, and have different shemes and products all over the shop, so this can account for different prices with them.0
