How lovely and once again the majority of people on this forum have reaffirmed my belief in the kindness of others.

I wish to thank the people that go out of their way to post bargains/glitches etc that, as so many of us know, has helped all of us in this financially difficult time.

I wish to thank those that help new people and point them in the right direction when they don't know what we're talking about, and instead of taking the easy route of being snide and unkind, actually keep the spirit of the forum going by giving help.

Thank you to those who press the thanks button-it does make a difference, its polite and is a great way to show appreciation and make a cyberspace forum more personal.

Thank you for the laughs, the giggles, the shoulders to cry on, the suggestions where to get advice etc.

Thank you to people like Claire21 , not just for the ammount of help she has given to all but also because dispite the unwarranted and frankly beyond my understanding amount of vitreol that gets posted from little people who don't realise that a forum is not just a list of facts convenient for their perusal, she keeps her head up and keeps helping.

Lastly, Thank you to the OP for this thread, reaffirming in its spirit for the majority of us and also I bet its just killing those selfish bah humbug types to see its near the top of the section!!!!!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

I would also like to add my appreciation! I've been here for a couple of years now and would be lost without it. I've bought some brilliant gifts or personal items over the last 2 years and it's saved me an absolute fortune.

I also claimed back bank charges and got a massive Child Tax Credit refund which helped pay towards our family holiday to Florida this year. All credit to the people on this site! SO A BIG BIG THANK YOU!! :T

Merry Christmas to all MSE's!
  • This is the best site ever - full of such lovely helpful people, and the Grabbits are brilliant... and often hilarious too. At a time of massive stress for us, Christmas could have been just too much this year, but you lot have totally de-stressed it (well, except for the huge pile of wrapping that's yet to do....and the turkey). This site is my personal down-time and it's all such fun - it feels like a big new circle of friends. Thank you all.
  • And I would like to add my thanks too. This board, and others on the forums (I am a big fan of old style) have helped me to save money, to have a laugh and to remind me that there are others in a similar situation to mine as well as others who are sadly much worse off.

I can waste/ put to good use many a happy hour browsing these forums! Thanks to all who post and thanks to the OP who started this friendly thread.

  • There isn't such a thing as silly questions ;)
So ask away, and answers you will find

The people here are helpful and so patient
They're generous, unselfish and so kind :D

So remember that if you receive an answer
Then someone's taken trouble to respond

It takes a tick to press the Thank You button
In an instant, you have made a two way bond!

If someone doesn't answer, do not worry
It doesn't mean they do not like your name!:o

Most likely, no one can give you an answer
That's my response, p'raps others feel the same?

A "please" or "thank you" doesn't cost a penny
And shows the post has left you with some cheer :T

So may I wish you all a Merry Christmas
And a Peaceful, Healthy, Prosperous New Year!:santa2::santa2::santa2:

    xx

Thanks for all the wonderful help and friendship I've received on here, from one very grateful OAP!

I bet there are a few purists who heartily dislike this thread!!! I think its brilliant, lets us all know just how much MSE means to us all.
    Long may MSE reign.
And Merry Christmas to all, including the purists with itchy fingers trying to close this thread!

I would like to add my Thanks, too! I genuinely have saved a lot of money thanks to this board and all the posters who take the time to share offers with us all. I've managed to buy decent gifts that I would not have afforded to buy at the original price, but would have liked to.
    So, thank you all again.
    Happy Christmas to all.
