It's my dad's 70th birthday soon, and we thought he would like to see Andrea Bocelli in concert in either Manchester or Birmingham (believe the concerts are in October).
What is the cheapest way to go about this? Would like to combine it with a night in a hotel for them too.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Unless you can find any specific good value package offers, I'd tend to sort the concert and hotel separately.
Tickets from https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk or https://www.ticketline.co.uk whichever offers best seats and cheapest booking fee.
Hotel from https://www.hotelscomparison.com after researching what they're like from https://www.tripadvisor.com or https://www.virtualtourist.com or other review sites.
Good luck.0 -
Have come up with another idea which my Dad would enjoy more.....
Russell Watson in concert in Llandudno on 16.11.06.
Only problem is trying to get tickets. None available with the box office, ticketline, ticketmaster, ent24, or bigmouth.
Any suggestions of who to try now?0 -
Hi Clareski
I checked Seetickets and they say the concert cannot be booked online through them (http://www.seetickets.com/see/event_split.asp?e|artist=RUSSELL%20WATSON&resultsperpage=1000&filler1=see&filler2=&filler3=). They have provided a phone number for bookings:
0870 899 3338
I don't know whether there's any left, but it might be worth a call to them.

Ebay! Stick with someone with great feedback if possible and make sure there is enough time for you to get the tickets from them.0

gutted - tried seetickets and they have sold out, and told me to try the box office (already tried this and they have sold out of their allocation).
Nothing on e-bay either at the moment either.
Tickets were available with a site in Hungary, but this was not secure and they were charging £185....... not worth the risk!!!
Thanks for your suggestions, will keep trying0 -
You could try travelodge for a cheap room as they have supersaver rooms for £15 (were £10) and saver rooms for £260
