Advice about Bankruptcy and Life After?

Hi
It is looking increasingly as if I will need to look at travelling down the bankruptcy route. I've been on a DMP since early 2007, but was made redundant (of sorts) December 2008. Since then i've been temping - believe it or not for the OFficial Receivers Office - However, as much as I know about the mechanics, I am unclear on life after bankrputcy and am keen to know more.
I owe 33,000 and am 30, my DMP isn't due to end until 2026! We want to start a family nxt yr. The house is an always has been in my husbands name, as is our car. We're planning to take names of accounts before January so we're fully separate.
If anyone could give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

please contact one of the debt charitys before coming to any decision, although you can get help and advice on here it is mainly other peoples experience and may not be the same as yours.
Just because the house is in your husbands name does not mean it is safe, it may be but also may be prooven that you have beneficial interest in it.0 -
Hi
I did think of this and discussed it very briefly with my AOR, who advised if it was in negative equity as it is, they'll offer to sell it back to him for £1. I don't want it going through the office i'm temping at. I discussed with a friend the idea of using her address as a C/O address and changing my statements to go there. I really do wanna hear other peoples' experiences though.

there must be some conflict of interest if it went through the office you were temping at. you need to put addresses of where the debts were incurred on your forms, not just your current address.
can you temp somewhere else? i know jobs are hard to come by, can the agency offer you a different post?0 -
People will probably speak of their experiance but remember one thing NO two cases are the sameWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

Does it matter if the creditors have the new address? I was under the understanding that it's not the address where the debt was incurred but where you live and the court you go bankrupt at that determines the OR office that deals with it.

Hi, if you are working at the office now they will automatically send your case to another office, you do not need to change your addressHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0
