Map With Individual Houses Numbers And Streets On?

I need a free online map that will show the exact address and number of each house. I've tried mulitimap, mapquest, googlemap and rac route planner and more etc but I cannot see indvidual houses on them

I need to pinpoint an exact house so I know its the right address to send an important letter to
Thanx

Can you tell us more about your difficulty?
e.g. Exactly how important and/or urgent is your letter?
In what way would a map with house numbers on it help you?

streetmap will point you to the centre of a post code. royalmail.com will give you a list of house numbers for that post code.

    Agree with Sivercar.

Use the Royal Mail address finder. Put in the postcode and all the properties covered by that postcode are returned. You can then check the correct mailing address.

    Thankyou

I have registered. I did not know they had this on the site but it seems very usefull although in my case this time it would not have helped as I needed to see the exact property in map form.

I have now sorted my problem though thankfully, after a lot of struggle.

I knew the exact house and the road from visiting but it was to contact a tenant living there not listed in the electoral role. I had the tenants name only but did not have the name or telephone number of the landlord so could not get the house number. I needed a map so that I could see the exact property to pinpoint the exact house number, couldnt acually find any in the end but made lots and lots of telephone calls and eventually got the landlords mobile number and got the house number from him. What a palava!
    Thanx

  • One method which might have worked would be to write to the person giving their address, missing out the number of the house, enclosing a SAE and a request that they send you their full address. The postal workers might get the letter to the right address I think.

Yes I know but this was to send important personal documemnts that I didn't want to risk getting in the wrong hands or mislaid but at least its sorted now :)
Wouldn't have been so bad if his surname was registered at the address but it isn't so that was a bit too risky
    Thanx
