Please help me choose where to go for my B-Day!! 24th June - 26th June!!

Hi all,

My b'day is on the 26th June, and me and the missus would like to go somewhere.....anywhere!!

I would like to leave on the 24th and arrive back on the 26th.

For 3 days, been looking at city breaks. i.e. Brussels + 2night 5* = £140ish each.

Got a budget of about £150 each for citybreak.

Can anyone think of where to go?? I dont care...just waana laeave London./

Thanks!!

For that length of time and the fact your in London already stick to anywhere Eurostar can go as its 100% less stressfull then visiting an airport.

    How about Bratislava?

    24 June 2006
    Depart Luton 06:45
    Arrive Bratislava 10:00
    EasyJet EZY2319
    £112 (for both)

    26 June 2006
    Depart Bratislava 21:00
    Arrive Stansted 22:10
    Ryanair FR2317
    £52 (for both)

Stay at the gorgeous Radisson SAS Carlton for about £75 per night (web hot deal). Not the cheapest hotel but absolutely wonderful and right in the heart of the city, which is also beautiful. It look like this:-

    Total cost approx £314.

Eating and drinking is very cheap when you're there too.

I was thinking of Barca, but my budget is pretty tight. £150 wont really get us a nice hotel. Want something like 4*.....

I stayed here in barcelona a couple of years ago http://www.hotelrekord.com/hotel.english.html

A good quality 3/4* hotel in the business district of Barca.

A couple of little friendly bars nearby as well as an underground stop into the centre.

Rates dont look too bad on their website but think I booked mine through Expedia.

Would love to be sat having a cold cruzcampo and a few tapas somewhere off the ramblas in a couple of weeks time.

Would also recommend Brussels but the weather probably isnt as much guaranteed

Have a good one wherever you end up

If you really don't care - let the flight checker decide for you - put in where you want to go from, dates & say flights under £20 and see what it comes up with. (is a link on mse homepage if you've not used before).

Then use www.hotelscomparison.com amd specify 4*.

Let us know what you decide.

ARRGGHHHH!!! I'm so upset.....had an arguement with my missus the other night, just before i was gonna book to go to Bratislava.....so thought, 'screw this'....

Now the Ryanair flight price has gone up by £150....obviously cos it's closer to time. BBOOO!!!

RIGHT, I'M PREPARED TO GO ANYWHERE. LEAVE MORNING/DAWN OF 24TH, ARRIVE BACK ON 26TH EVENING.
ANYWHERE (AWAY FROM IN-GER-LAND).....4* FOR TWO NIGHTS.
    £300 BUDGET FOR THE BREAK.

You could try Valencia. Flights are usually not too expensive, and it's not too long a flight. Plenty to see, lovely city, and there are beaches too.
