Cheapest flights are from LGW via WDH on Air Namibia but https://www.airlinequality.com have interesting reviews.

If you go in late January the flights might be cheaper because you are past the Christmas peak. Indirect flights on KLM via AMS are often cheaper than the direct services on BA, SAA and Virgin VS, but the times may not be that convenient. https://www.flybmi.com sometimes have good fares on SAA flights with their own flight code BD.

Accom - don't stay in the city, best parts are Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandudno.

Sometimes CPT is included in the BA Sept sale, depends if you can wait and see.

I've found a 13 hour flight flying with Lufthansa for both of us incl taxes £1135.20. Is this a good deal or could i still get cheaper?
Has anyone been with this flight operator be4?
I'm not in a hurry to book.

  • Hiya,
Well I am not quite sure. This is going to be very last minute trip.... We are starting in Johannesburg driving up to Mozambique than back to joburg and then to Cape town... I was hoping to stay quite central.. went quite a few years back and stayed somewhere lovely with the best view of table mountain.
    What about you?

LH is a codeshare with SAA; I've flown via FFT, Joburg to Cape Town with them. IIRC they do have seatback screens.

I stayed in the Culinan in Caapstaat. Fantastic city.
In the United Kingdom 200,000 people are bitten by dogs every year and some people will die as a result. Of those bitten, 70% are children... So the question has to be asked....... Has the time come to ban children?

No mention of seat back TVs on http://www.lufthansa.com/online/portal/lh/uk/abo/info_services/on_board?l=en&nodeid=781052

So if it is a Lufthansa aircraft it may not have them, worth checking if it is important to you.

That's good, but if you can wait for the BA Sept sale direct flights on BA might be better value for money.
