Something Broadband gone bankrupt

Hi
I signed up with 'Something Broadband' earlier this year for what seemed like a great deal. Free international calls, free local calls, line rental included and unlimited downloads over broadband, all that for £14.99 per month. It was of course to good to be true, as the company has gone bankrupt now and has left us without the ability to use our phone and no broadband.
We called the number that now appears on our IE home page, and Demon helpdesk in India are picking up calls, however they cannot enable our broadband or phone line as apparently there is a 'tag' on the line with Cable & Wireless preventing any other company picking up the line. We cannot do anything with anybody until 7th December apparently. And then it will take 1-2 weeks to connect us back up.
I work for myself as a developer from home, so for the next month I have to go into our local town to work (they have free broadband) and use my mobile phone for phone calls.
I wondered if anyone knows if there is anything I can do to either get our phone back or legally get perhaps some recompense? Many Thanks!

There's another thread with 20+ messages somewhere on this system -haven't yet got the hang of finding things on it. Welcome to the club! At least I seem to have a service but no idea who is providing it!0
