Got my A&L Premium Current account, so far so good. Just tried to find an alternative landline number for their Customer Services 0844 800 9000 number and there isn’t one on Saynoto0870.com… I could only find the 0800 number but it’s no good for calls from mobiles. Does anyone have a landline number for Current Accounts customer services department?

Try 0116 200 44440

could you try the 0800 buster number from mobiles? the website escapes me, but look for the cheap calling guides on the main site.
you go to a website and they give you a number to call at normal local rates from your mobile and you put in the 0800 number you want to ring and it connects you, still at the local rate.Debts at LBM (May '08) £5760 - Lloyds CC £4260, Lloyds OD £1500;Debts as of May 28th 2011:Santander CC: £0.00Lloyds OD : £0.00DFW Nerd #1247 - Proudly dealt with my DebtsOlympic 2012 Challenge #12

A&L - New & existing current accounts 0800 4096700
EDIT: Just re-read that. You want a number you can ring from your mobile to a landline?0 -

Looks like 0800 number does not work either - says it is for new applications only, for exisitng accounts please redial 0844...
The other 0800 number for some reason is answered by MBNA:huh:0 -

This is the one which says (after you select an option 2 for current accounts) - "the number you called is for new applications only, for existing accounts please re-dial 0844..."0 -
Just tried - get a message "The office is closed, our working hours...", and no option to be trasferred to the current account customer services.0 -
try again during office hours and you should be put through0

I call the MBNA number and get them to transfer me to the 0844.
Calling them on local area numbers usually means they make up some BS reason why they can't answer the call (which I assume actually is lost premium rate charges for keeping you on hold for an hour).0
