Hi there I have A credit card which was originally a Morgan Stanley Mastercard but just over a year and a half ago was taken over by GoldFish Then a little over a year ago was taken over by BarclayCard.
Since it was taken over by barclaycard I reached my limit £8500, fine my falt so I paid the payments and more but it was'nt going down, Instead It was going over my limit and more.
Found out a few months ago they were still letting a credit card insurance come out every month which was a percentage of the total limit, when I last looked it was over £76.
Barclays was charging me for being over my limit and still letting the insurance come out so every payment I was making was'nt getting my bill down.
So I cancelled the insuarnce done a load of overtime a paid of as much as I can I have just got it down too the limit but when I cancelled the insurance the card was over £9600.
What I want too know is, should they have let the insurance contnue to come out and then charge me for being over the limit, And if they should'nt have let that happen what Can I do about it.
Plus the Insurance I have was with AXA But I cant Find any paper work for it and on the balances it does'nt even say AXA I had too phone Barclaycard and thats all they knew.
I'm trying too claim the money back from the insurance but who do I go too Morgan Stanley (the origanal credit card), AXA or Barclaycard
Also I have another Insurance on my card but that's annual and only £35 a year I got a letter from them saying "Unless I phone and I have NOT Reached my limit The payment will automatically come out of the credit card" That I can deal with.
Can you help in any way.
Thank you.

It is your responsibility to cancel the insurance, the bank won't.
If the banks started cancelling the policies then the policy owners would only complain if they wanted to claim.0 -
