VANGUIS and terminating your credit card?

I will be terminating my credit card account with Vanquis Bank shortly and would like to know if anyone here has had a problem with Vanquis when requesting termination of their credit card?

I heard is may take upto 5 weeks to terminate a Vanquis credit card but need to know how long in general and what to expect.

The CPA will still be taken even though the card has been terminated. You do understand this, yes?

.....no that's can't be right as I cannot imagine how when you terminate a credit card that CPA's can still be applied to that card. When a card is terminated it's <dead> and the customer's business with Vanquis has finished..

To close or block a credit card is on the premise you still have that credit card facility even when you have been re-issued with a new card and can be charged still!

A CPA can still be applied to a closed account as the only person that can stop it is the company and not the credit card company
