anyone recommend a hotel+parking at gatwick

hi, im off to sardinia on wed, i live in north east london and our flights are from gatwick, depts at 8am, so want to stay at gatwick for the night before to save rushing around on the morning of the flight, also need car parking , if anyone could offer advice on a decent hotel near to south terminal would appriciate it, thx

Gatwick is very busy in the early morning, the traffic can be a problem, even the shuttle buses from hotels can get caught up in the traffic. The Hilton is connected to the South Terminal by a walkway, I'd try and find a good deal for the Hilton.

I got 2 weeks parking and a night at the Hilton for 2 people for £110.

Admittedly this was 2 years ago but it shows what can be done! The list price for just a night at the Hilton was about £90 so 2 weeks parking for, effectively, £20.

cost us about £80 (approx cant remember exactly) for an overnight and 15 days parking last year
