Little confussed right now,
I have people chasing me for debt which as mentioned in a previous post I was stupid and now trying to pay everything back.
I finially got a copy of my credit report, and they are not on it. I also have a score of 650 which is a lot better than I thought 4 entry's on Account information, two of which are settled years ago and two defaulted which total less than £2800 which I can settle now.
How come other debts do not appear including one I got a letter from today, and although my credit score it not very poor, and I am unable to open a bank account, other than the one I did with think bank.

Have you checked all 3 credit reference agencies? Not all creditors report to all 3.
Also, how long is it since you defaulted on these debts?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

From 2002 onward really, as I had along time in hospital due to a heart complaint around that time.
No just Credit Expert from Experian could you recommend the other agencies to chase.
I am on the phone to the two now, and have just settled the one, how long do they take to update to my file, I want to basically clear everything and get on road to recovery asap0 -
Well, defaulted accounts only stay on your credit report for 6 years from when the default is first recorded. They and all the details of the accounts are removed after that time regardless of whether you have settled or not.
So maybe some of these defaults/accounts have already reached that 6 year mark and disappeared from your files?
The other agency is Equifax BTW.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I just reviewed it and I got my credit score wrong, I thought it was a little to good to be true.
It is in fact 529.
I have one CCJ that I knew about, and the 2 defaulted above as mentioned which I have now cleared on the one report, I am going to tackle this agency first then move on to the next one.
I would like to rebuild my credit, but with 529, I am finding no one will even open a bank account for me, so I am pretty stuck.
Also do CCJ's disappear after 6 years?0 -
Yes, CCJs drop off after 6 years as well, as does everything i believe including bankruptcy.
If you want a credit free account, apply for a basic account, Barclays Cashcard or Co-Op Cashminder are good places to start.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Stop paying for your credit score, too. It's a bit of a con to extract cash out of you (unless you like paying for semi-random numbers... in which case do PM me)Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Is it six years since the CCJ's appeared or six years after paid off. If so I have a long time to wait.0

Sounds like some of that deebt was statute barred if it is over 6 years with no contact?
If you've paid or written in the 6 years it won't be.
