Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me please.
I have a credit card which i used to pay for something for £815 for my step daughter.
We did not have the time to get her a credit card before this purchase was made, so would like for her to get her first ever credit card and pay me back so she has the outstanding balance on her card to also try and assist her credit rating.
Hope that makes sense, so two questions really:
1. can the balance transfer be done into different names
2. Which is the best card for her to have, i.e. 0% etc
Many thanks in anticpation

Yes you can transfer debt onto other cards with different names as long as they don't belong to the same bank, eg you cannot transfer from a Halifax card to another Halifax card.
As this would be her first credit card her choices are somewhat limited as the best balance transfer cards can afford to cherry pick their customers and often need an excellent credit rating. I would advise asking her bank to see what they can provide.0 -
