Very Slow Parcelforce Claim

Has anybody had any experience with Parcelforce Claims?
I used Parcelforce to post a Radio Controlled Plane that I sold on Ebay. It sold for £100 and postage was £16.50.
I used their 48 hour service. After a week of the buyer not recieving it, I contacted PF, who informed me it had been lost, and I should make a claim.
Parcel sent on 29/10/09
Claim made on 6/11/09 by Fax and letter (just to be sure)
I have so far recieved no corespondance from PF, so I contacted them today, and they say they have recieved my claim, but they are still working on claims from October.
This is terrible. At this rate I will have probably have to wait another month before I get my £116.50 back.
Does anybody know of a way to speed things up at all. I really could do with my money at the moment.

It will be a few weeks. My last one took 6 weeks. The parcelforce website says that they can take 8 weeks.0

Hi,
What is the parcel number? I work in the claims department so i might be able to help.
We aren't normally this far behind, we've just changed systems and the training took up a lot of time, that and it being the busiest time of the year has pretty much left us struggling.
We are actually nice people0 -
Hello, thanks for your reply. Not sure it's safe to give out the claim number? Although you probably are genuine. I'll PM you my name, maybe you can find that on the Database.
Many thanks.0 -
Would you believe I'm still waiting to recieve my compensation, almost 3 months after my parcel went missing!
Today was the last straw, when I called to be updated on when I would recieve my compensation cheque. I was told "Sorry payment has failed again, can I check your details?" (This will be about the 10th time) This time they have my name wrong! Grrrrrrrrr!!! I want my money ParcelForce!
They recieved this compaint through there website today:I would like to make a complaint about a claim that has been going on for a very long time. My claim reference number is 00-******. My parcel was lost back in early November. I was told then, that there will be no problem claiming back my £116.50 as the parcel was lost at your Norwich depot. Yet still nearly 3 months after my parcel went missing I am still waiting for my money back! This morning I called again to see where the compensation cheque had got to, only to be told the payment had failed AGAIN, and to top it off you had my name as MARK W*****. My name is **** W*****. I do not seem to be getting anywhere with receiving my compensation, and I feel I have no other choice but to seek compensation through a County Court. **** W*****.0 -
Just an update on this.
I finally recieved a cheque in the post today...
Would you believe it though, ParcelForce have made it out to the company I work for!!! The company where I had the parcel picked up from. NOT in my name, so I can't even pay the cheque in to my account.
I'm hoping my manager will exchange the cheque with company cash, but I won't hold my breath.
I can't believe how incompetant Parcelforce have been in this matter. All they are doing is apologising, and thats all I've had for 3 months. I feel more should be done on this matter, but not sure what.0
