hubby wants to buy a franchise

hubby has just left his job (long story) and is looking for work.
he has found a franchise that he can buy and operate self employed. (he has been self employed before)
it's a mobile operation (not the phones!) nothing to do with selling but they provide training which he wounldnt really need as his experience is in the trade anyway. its a specialist area which he knows all about.
does anyone have any advice on this?
we dont know how much it will be yet as waiting for info to come thro the post.
