Railcard

Yes, I did this just before I turned 26. The day before I think... I had about 4 months left to run on my old railcard, so had an extra 8 months use which more than paid for the 4 months I "lost". But the station where I bought it initially refused to let me do it, I had to insist that I was allowed to do this, and they checked my proof of ID very carefully! (luton airport parkway station if anyone is interested - so I had passport of proof of age, having just landed at the airport...). Then they got very snotty and insisted I handed back the unexpired railcard I was replacing as "I might give it to someone else to use". Had me in stitches at the time, as the sales staff obviously were miffed about being proved in the wrong by their manager and were very very petty about it.
This was many many years ago, so no reflection on the current sales staff!
