employer hasn't paid statutory sick pay

I was working for an employment agency within a temporary call centre position for 2 months. The last week of the role I came down with flu, so felt awful and also had no voice so obviously was unable to carry out my role. I phoned the agency every day to update them on how I was feeling. I got through to a different recruitment consultant that the one I was registered with as she was off work sick. The guy I spoke to would say thank you for letting him know and he would update the company I was placed at. On the Friday I was still quite unwell and phoned in and again and was told they would let the company know but they said that day was the last day of the contract. This was also confirmed by someone from my team I have remained in contact with. Pay day was on Friday before last for the period I was off sick and I did not receive a penny in statutory sick pay. As I was off for 5 days I should be entitled to £79.15. I tried phoning and I get told the person I need to speak to is not in the office and they will call me back and they never do. I logged on to the direct.gov website and read the info on statutory sick pay and reiterated the information in an email. I said that as I was off for more than 4 days, earning more than £95 a week and called in every day of my absence that I am entitled to it and that if they do not pay it to me or provide me with an adequate explanation of why they are refusing to pay it that I will report them to HMRC. They ignored this email too.
Am I doing everything right? Is there anything else I can do?

You would actually only be entitled to two days SSP, as the first three days are waiting days.

Have you rang them, rather than emailing them?
    Gone ... or have I?

Your lack of paragraphs makes your initial post very difficult to read!

Why not go in and see them?

Whatever you choose to do, don't spend too much time on it (unless you are unemployed) - how much time is £20 worth to you?

My bet is they will say you were terminated on the day you phoned in sick due to the nearness of the end date and not due anything.

£20 is worth a lot to me. Both me and my partner are now unemployed as the JSA claim has not gone back into a joint claim we are currently living off my partners JSA payment and as some bills went out we have no money at all until the next payment which is a week on Friday. I do not even have the money for the bus fair to go into town to pay them a visit.

Is there anything I can do if they do this?
