I bought something last week using my Barclaycard. A couple of days later I had to cancel that card and they are sending me a new one.
The item that I purchased prior to cancelling the card, is subject to a refund but how will they refund me if I've cancelled my card?

Any payments / refunds / standing orders etc made to the old account number will automatically be forwarded to the new account number. Credit cards have always worked like this, because of situations like yours
Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

It may take slightly longer than a refund normally would take but yes it will get there.
Last year we had £10 refunded to a cancelled solo debit card and it hit the account in 2 weeks rather than 3 days. Should be similar for a credit card0
