£175k stamp duty threshold - extension?

So, is there going to be an extension to the £175k stamp duty threshold holiday? I believe it's due to end 31st Dec....
Someone said on another thread (different topic) that it may well be in the pre-budget announcement on 9/12 if it's going to be extended.....
What do people on here think?
Personally, I think it's part of what is holding the small FTB market together right now and as a result, they will not revert back to the lower threshold end Dec as it will be another 'nail in the coffin' for FTBs and so could have a knock on effect on the whole property market.....

Personally I don't reckon they will extend it.
FTB's should obviously look to get vendors to pay the stamp duty for them on house's greater then 125k.
Eg. Ofer 130 + stamp duty paid (by vendor) on 140 house and take it from there.0
