Re workplace confidentiality

Would like some advice please.

I am currently working a months notice whilst signed off sick.

I found out from a work Colleague that my senior Manager has sent the whole of my department an email telling them that I have decided to leave and that I am serving a months notice and the medical reason why.

I did not give my permission for her to reveal my medical history.

I am furious and would like advice as to what I can do about it if anything.

Sorry to add this, but to those who may believe I am going to claim benefits instead of working, I am not, I am finantially secure and intend to work again once my treatment has finished.

I am not seriously ill, just in need of regular treatment for a couple of months, work was stressful and not helping.

would appreciate any advice. Thank you
