When should my 13 week review take place?

I've signed-on today (Wednesday), and have been told that the '13 week review' is approaching very soon. The sign-on staff doesn't know the exact date and location. She just told me it's flagged on the system, and don't know anymore.
My next sign-on is 25 Nov. Hopefully, before then I will get some information (i.e. time and location). I know what it's all about, as I read it on the JC website. I hope my next sign-on is not the review, as I don't have any information about the location/time yet. If the review is not on the 25 Nov sign-on, it should be the week after that (i.e. week commecning 30 Nov - probably on Wed 2 Dec, or some other week), and hopefully I will get a letter on the time/date.
On August 27, I went to the JC for an initial interview to get the Job Seekers agreement made, check details on the information provided, and send them to the BDC for processing. I started signing-on on the ground floor at the JC on 2 Sept on a Wednesday (1st sign-on), 16 Sept (2nd sign-on), and then fortnightly after that. When would/should my 13 week review be?

I think it's 13 weeks from the start of your claim, but it's nowhere near that exact in reality.
I've not had mine yet, but I got told about 16th sept that it would be soon and that means I'll get a letter calling me in for a 30 min interview and a couple of intensive JSs - not had a letter or any letters telling me I missed it yet.
Apparently it has to happen around 13 weeks, not AT 13 weeks and it has to happen before you go to the next stage.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott
It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Hi
It depends on your jobcentre, it should be 13 weeks from the date of your first signing. Mine was about 5 months after. I should have also had a review 6 months after my JSA started as I now get no benefit as my husband works but my review is at the end of November, its as and when they can fit it in, it wasnt stressful though, mine lasted about 5 minutes. The interview appointment will be given you to in a letter which you have to sign to say you have recieved otherwise if you dont turn up and say you didnt know you could lose your benefit. If the date is no good you can agree a different mutually acceptable date. I really wouldnt stress, I took along a sheaf of papers with my job applications on and the person didnt even look at them, in fact i was barely there for five minutes !
Its just a formality, I was sent on a Back to work course which was two women talking to a group of people claiming JSA sat in a jobcentre on a sat morning, they were nice enough ladies but it wasnt much use.0 -
I will wait for the letter then, instead of speculating about the exact date.
I can't believe the 13 week review is getting near - didn't know that until they have told me! Will the letter be given during the next sign-on(s), or by post?
When the time comes, I will gather all the job seeking evidence (rejection/interivew offer letters and e-mails, job adverts, etc...) and put them in a folder.
I've read threads that some people's review times vary. I thought the would have a standardised time to discuss.
Do I get a sheet of detailing my 6 weekly sign-on's (and then after that the fornightly ones)? I don't want to lose track of the signing-on pattern.0 -
Usually you will get handed the letter during a sign on session, as I say mine was months after 13 weeks had passed. I think the session is supposed to last 20 minutes but as I say mine lasted 5 which I was happy about. if the time and date they give you is no good discuss this with them and they will alter it for you. It wont arrive in the post.
I didnt go onto weekly sign ons it just stayed at fortnightly, they dont make everyone sign on each week for 6 weeks. I didnt have any intensive job search sessions either. The person who reviewed me didnt even so much as look at any of the stuff I had brought with me so I wouldnt go to too much trouble just take what you need to, as long as you have fulfilled your jobseekers agreement they will be ok with you hopefully. I really wouldnt lose any sleep over it hun0 -
Since there is a delay of the 13 week review, that means the 26 (6 month) review will be delayed as well?
I assume that the 6 weekly sign-on depends on the person's circumstance?
I assume signing-on on the ground floor continues, or is it in a different floor?0 -
The jobcentre has to conduct the interview within 6 weeks of it being due. You will could be notified by post or in person, it just depends on how your particular office operates.
The six month interview won't necessarily be delayed - again there is a window in which it has to be conducted. Although be positive - you won't be claiming then!
Where you sign on will again depend on your particular office so can't help you with that. You will probably move to a new team somewhere within the office though.0 -
I think the weekly sign on depends on how nice you are to the person doing the review and which side of bed they got out of that morning.......
I am still seeing the same person all the way through my signings which helps as they are really nice0 -

Ok. If they don't do it exactly at 13 weeks, I think they will do mine before the end of December/end of 2009 then.
I will see when the time comes.potnoodleprincess wrote: »I think the weekly sign on depends on how nice you are to the person doing the review and which side of bed they got out of that morning.......

Ok. I will find out to see if I get weekly sign-on's or normal fortnightly sign-on's like you. I hope it will be fortnightly like you.
We will see, and I will report back.0 -
Mine was pretty much 13 weeks. I was given a letter at my sign-on on the Weds and my meeting was the following Tuesday- because it wasn't my signing on day I could apparently have reclaimed my travelling expenses, but I got a lift into town anyway so didn't bother. Perhaps someone else could let you know about that0

Yes that's right. You need to travel by the cheapest means and keep your bus / train ticket to give to your adviser who will then re-imburse you.0
