Hi, I am thinking of taking out a 3 year bond.

Is the interest added yearly or at the end of term?

And if I close the bond say in the 3 year and its got a penalty clause; would it be only the 3rd years interest I would lose?

The Terms & Conditions vary from product to product.

Shouldn't you be asking the people you 'take the bond out' from?

Seriously, what is the point of asking people who don't know the product when it would be much easier to ask the bank or financial insitution that you're doing business with?
