Jobcentre website

Having been searching for jobs using the jobcentre website I am getting rather annoyed with it. The old website worked so much better for me and I find it difficult to find things with this new website. Its not just me, my Husband who is very very good with computers and all things computer related is even having trouble with it.
Why did they have to change it?

    Because they wanted to!
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.

Do you mean the way it goes to the Directgov jobsearch? I thought there was something you could click to take you back to the old search function?

    Edit: Yep there is.

I'm not very good at succinct. Why say something in 10 words when 100 will do?
  • OP, I know what you're saying about this awful switch, but try the site now. I've just tried it and it seems to be back to normal. Ta-dah.
    £1 / 50p 2011 holiday flight + hotel expenses = £98.50600

HSBC 8% 12mth regular savings = £80 out of a maximum remaining allowance of £2500

    "3 months' salary" reserve = £00 / £3600

I had noticed this as well, but it does seem to have reverted back to the old way.

  • I don't like the way it will only return 5 pages of results. And why when I put I want to work days in Stockport area, does it bring up "Night Porter" in Ashby-de-la-Zouch!!

I know, it's so irritating! I put my Sheffield postcode in and it comes up with jobs in London, Manchester and various other random places I've never heard of!

Possibly one of the worst websites I've ever used!
