The 2006 FIFA World Cup™ is guaranteed to be one of the biggest TV events of the year and UKTV G2 has got a slice of the action. The channel – which can be seen on Sky channel number 111, NTL 830/32 and Telewest 125 – will be showing more than 200 hours of 2006 FIFA World Cup™ - related programming, spearheaded by 31live 2006 FIFA World Cup™ matches, including the opening tie between Germany and Costa Rica, the key England games, and the final.
The channel will also be showing the best bits from all 64 games in a daily highlights programme, together with superbshows telling the story of the tournament and the ever-popular series A Question of Sport and They Think It’s All Over. More than 100,000 England fans will be in Germany for the tournament. If you’re not lucky enough to be among them, UKTV G2’s unique coverage should go some way to compensate.
