Thanks. I haven't done anything yet. Just thinking that my wife and I should be getting will sorted in the near future.

Wow did this today for my husband and couldn't believe how easy it was - less than 15 minutes in all!!! Thanks MSE for this, I can't believe I paid over £100 a few years ago for mine!

I've now received my will, followed the instructions for signing and sent it back. All very straight forward.

The panel solicitor that wrote it. Process is (assuming you only want very simple will):

    Fill in online form
System selects solicitor from its list (you can veto if you have a conflict)
Solicitor creates will and sends to you with instructions for signing & witnessing
You sign & witness & send back
They check it and keep original & send you copy.

All free - even postage - they sent me a stamped envelope!

As you'll see from some earlier conversations you may well not want them to store it but I'm going along with it for now and will move it when I update my will after I've sorted some other things out. This was an extremely easy way to get SOMETHING as I had nothing at all and, as I'm not married to my OH, if the worse were to happen he would have been stuffed!

I filled the forms in and got confirmation of receipt on the 4th November but heard nothing since!

I just got two of my neighbours. There's a few restrictions - like they can't be beneficiaries - but other than that I think pretty much anyone will do.
