Postal coupons to claim jsa

Yesterday I had to sign on at the JobCentre, having been made redundant, twice in two years, happy days!!
I was told that I have to sign on again on Thursday, why? I was told this is because everyone with my NI number initials has to sign on on the same day!
I live 25 miles away from my nearest jobcentre, I have a disability and my carer accompanies me. I asked them if I could apply for a postal coupon and was told no, I have to physically attend every fortnight. It takes me over four hours to travel on the bus to do this? This cannot be right, surely?
They also informed me that they do not want any friends or family accompanying me,as there is not the room to accommodate them!!!! This is a new building, what is going on? So my carer (Mother) had to wait outside. Can this be right?

yes your nation insurance number dictates what your signing day is, have you explained a carer needs to accompany you? depends on the manager really we would alloy it at my office.
Ring and ask for the jobcentre manager and explain they will make allowances i'm sure but they can't change your signing day and very few offices do postal signing.0 -

Thats a lot of barriers, how will this effect your job hunting?
If you can't make it to the local job centre, what will happen if you get a job interview or a job?
There are not a lot of requirements to claim JSA, one is to be looking for work and the other is a fortnightly sign on.

If youve been working for the last two years at least how have you managed to get to work and carry out that work without a carer.
A trip to the job centre, should be a doddle. What is the nature of your disability.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
