Leaving Australia/Aus package deals

Hi I wonder if anyone can help with some info?
We are going to Australia in a few weeks and will need to leave for visa rules in 3 months, we are want to return and continue our travels in aus.
What is the cheapest way to leave and return to Aus? We have looked at Air Asia for flights, but wondered if anyone know of any other flight options and airlines. Where is the cheapest place to go from Aus?
Alternatively does anyone know how to get a cheap package deal leaving and returning to Aus? Any good websites?
We are thinking of leaving for at least a week and at most up to a month. Any guidance on where to start looking for a cheap option would be great.
Thanks

New Zealand is pretty close, or Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga etc. Otherwise the far East (Bali, Vietnam etc. are the next closest. For NZ check out Air New Zealand. For the others and NZ check out Jetstar & Virgin Blue (Aus Easyjet/Ryanair equivalents). Tiger also flies our of Aus to the Far East areas (exact routes I don't know as they don't fly from Sydney)0

From the east coast NZ would be the best option. Try www.virginblue.com.au
From Perth a cheap flight on one of the low cost airlines to either Denpasar, Bali or Singapore with www.tigerairways.com or www.jetstar.com
If you are in Darwin you could take a short flight to Kupang, Indonesia. I am not sure if there are still flights going there. I know you could fly with Merpati and Airnorth.0 -
Try www.flightcentre.com.au for flights and/or packages, or airasia have had some good deals to kuala lumpar
just realised that you had already checked airasia , sorry0
