    Hi Hannah

You need to write to the credit reference agencies, Experian, Equifax & Call Credit and write a letter to then disassociating yourself financially from your ex as the debt was written off in your bankruptcy. They can put a note to that effect on your file.

Should be similar for the other CRAs.

  • one quick question......i transferred the BI (negative equity) over to my ex. but am still legally on the mortgage.....any arrears/shortfall that may arise in the future will always go into my ~BR....can I also now disassociate myself from him and this mortgage?? too....he lives in it....but they won't give him a mortgage on his own....
