Leaving work with unresolved issues

Hi,
I've posted on the forum issues I'm having at work. Unfortunately I can't link to them as I am a new member.
I've had some great advice from the forum as well as from CAB and I am now at the point of wanting to resign from my position.
I'd like to know if my letter of resignation should contain details of unresolved issues that my grievance letter covered or should it simply detail my leaving?
Thanks.

If all you want to do is resign, then you do not have to give a reason, just the appropriate notice.0

thanks for the reply.
It's possible I may have to take further action should my issues mentioned in the greivance letter not be resolved.
I thought my letter of resignation should cover these issues as they are the reason for my leaving.
Also, I have 5 days off in November. If I were to resign today should this be mentioned in my letter? Would I still get this time off if I do resign?0 -
If you haven't yet "earned" the days off, then your employer would be entitled to call them unpaid leave, and adjust your final salary payment.
No need to mention your holidays in your resignation letter.0 -

I cant see that it would hurt to detail them. Most half decent companies have exit interview these days anyway. I could well imagine if you issues were not raised in your resignation or in an exit interview then any ET may ask why not...obviously going through a greivance is a pretty big notification something is up..but probably better to be safe...
GOne day some company will do what they say they will do and charge a fair charge.:T
Not doing the opposite of that which they promise and charge you a fortune for the privileged.
Or maybe not:mad:0 -
An unkind preson might suggest that you really want to stay and would like to be reassured that everything will be ok. In reality though the best advice would be to let sleeping dogs lie. In my experience its usually best not to burn your bridges so therefore try to leave in good terms you never know when your paths might cross again.0
