Had some shares with Scottish Power and when they were taken over I was sent a cheque. I was abroad at the time, the cheque lapsed and I sent it off for a new one when i returned.
I was told to contact an asset recovery company who now want to charge me 10% of the total plus VAT.
Is this legal somehow I feel not
