She's off to Australia in february to visit her 85 year old brother who they both only found out about each other a year ago. :j
Thinking of getting her a washbag with some travel type things in, so far ideas include:
Passport cover
fancy luggage tag
5 pound book voucher
sweets
puzzle mag
eye sleep mask
earplanes
Not sure about skin care as she has sensitive skin, what else could go in there?

Wow - what an adventure
A travel journal so she can record her thoughts
A disposable camera
A travel guide or history book about the area she's going too
Pens and pencils (I always forget these):staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
I've had to do this flight four times this year, lol. So ill tell you what's in my kit for the plane in case it helps.
Babywipes - vital!
Eye drops
vicks type, nasal inhaler (it gets soo dry and stuffy)
face mist (i made mine out of 1tbs glycerin and 50mls water in a spray bottle, my friend uses this as a makeup artist as a quick fix and it works a treat)
Headache stick (i got one from aldi for £2, its like a menthol tingle on your head when you rub it on, refreshing and distracts you from a headache)
some kind of throat or boiled sweets - again it gets very dry.
Little pot of nivea.
neck pillow, blow up from pound shop or beany ones from home bargains.
asprin (for avoiding thrombosis)
fold up slippers. (means you dont have to put your shoes back on to go to the loo)
I got a little bag with an eye mask, socks and ear plugs, headphones and blanket on all of my flights for free, but they werent very good quality so earplanes etc would be and improvement.
also depending on where abouts she is going, i got a great little mosquito bite treater from homebargains for £3, it sends a tiny curent into any stings to stop them itching.
also just as a side note for your gran, make sure to let her know not to take ANY food into Australia at all. If she has sweets left over from the flight they have to be binned first.Or she could be searched and possibly left with $3000 fine. not the best start to a hol and i was unaware of this when i got off the plane!!It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'
