Hi All,

Need some help and advice?

We are looking to buy carpets for our house.. these are the 2 options we are down too>>

80%wool and 20% polypropylene - £10.50 per sq metre

or

100% master blend with 10yrs stain resistant - £8.00 per sq metr

This will be the first time weve brought carpets so am alittle confused? can anyone suggest which is best for value? and which would be harder wearing??

Thanks for your time :cheesy:

its not just the mix of fibres that will determine the quality/ heardwearing-ness of a carpet but the weight aswell (measured in oz per sq yard)

    Hi,

First things first: A synthetic carpet is just as hardwearing as a wool carpet. Wool does not necessarily mean better. its all about the density of the tufts, so my advice would be to ask the salesman how many tufts per square inch there are in each of the products. The more tufts there are, the longer it will retain its appearance.
