Last plaster job I had done was £120 per day plus materials.
2 day job cost about £300

I should also point out that I did get a few quotes for doing the work -one was over 3 times that amount

got mine done by some local polish plasterers,
took all the wallpaper off, did any plastering and skimmed the walls
4 rooms and kitchen including ceilings, and the entire hallway

£1,000 it cost, and they did a great job. here at 9 finished at 5 every day for a week, very hard working
  • Good plasters charge about £160-200 a day down south

I got my kitchen skimmed (walls and ceiling) for £300
    (room size 4.5x3m)

We just had our living room done (4m x 5m), mostly a skim, but redid the beading on external corners (2 on bay window, 2 on chimney breast) and some patching (down to the stone walls in places).

    1st quote £340
    2nd quote £290
3rd quote £580 (and this was "off the books", supposedly a good deal!)

We went for the cheapest and he finished in 1 day instead of 2 (worked to about 6) so only charged us £200!
  • You done well there JOE...

Cheers for all the replies, they've made a start and its looking good so far. Looks like it maybe 6 days work so happy enough with the price - I reckon I made the wrong career choice though!
