Visa for NZ

Hi, sorry if this has been covered already. Next March me and two friends are off to Oz for 6 weeks. At the end of it we have 5 days in Sydney. 1 friends brother has just emigrated to NZ. He wants her to "pop" over for a couple of days to see him in Wellington. Thats great for her but, does she need a different visa for NZ, and also can she just fly back into Sydney with no probs?

Why not ask the Embassy/High Commission? Or the airline?

In any case, I think you will find that flights on this route are rather expensive (it a long way in reality, just looks like a 'hop' on a map because Australia and NZ are so far away from anywhere) so that popping over for a couple of days will be out of the question.

Thank you for replying. She knows it wont be cheap. She wants to see her bro. Its a surprise to me that the flight is only 3 hrs. I have looked at a few airlines and its not as bad as we thought pricewise. I will tell her to fone Austravel as thats who we booked with.

Assuming a British passport, you do not need a visa for a short trip to New Zealand and getting back intto Oz should be no problem either

Flights shouldn't be THAT bad bearing in mind it's a 4 hour (from memory) journey. There are some budget airlines - try Virgin Blue (yes that Virgin) but I'm sure there are one or two more.
