Speeding offence and motor insurance

I got nicked by a speed camera and opted to pay for and take a speed awareness class, so I didn't get any points.
So, when applying for new motor insurance, would this count as NO speeding convictions? I guess I should check with the insurer, but I would be interested in any views and experiences.
Cheers

No need to check it out.
You have not been convicted of anything.0 -
I agree - been there and done that!0

Some insurers are specifically asking if you have attended a speed awareness course or similar though - so just make sure you listen to or read the questions correctly.
I've not done one of these courses myself but presumably they are not endorsed on the paper section of your driving license. Is that correct?0 -
Yes. No points. no endorsement, no offence.0

When you attend one of these courses they tell you specifically that you never need declare this at all as your offence has been completely wiped.
Phoning round for insurances through all the usual sites I have never even been asked about it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
