Can someone tell me how to get a bargain holiday for next year- either May or Sept 2010?
Is now the right time to start looking?
When to the cheap scheduled flights "come out"?
What web sites should i be looking at?
Is it best to contact the hotel direct?
There must be some savvy people out there who have bagged a deal by shopping early, i am one of those people who has rarely managed to obtain a bargain anything nevermind a holiday
Look forward to some good advice
thanks
Arthur

Arthur, Sorry to 'Dampen' your spirits 'Tol'd Lad' but there hasn't been any Bargain kind of Holidays for about 4 years now.
I am not saying that you can't find a cheaper holiday, All I am saying is that the Holiday Market has 'Shrunk' a great deal more than ever since the loss of the XL Holiday group last year.
So obviously the number of seats/capacity is alot less.
I would say Jet 2 are one of the cheapest operators, But Jet 2 require FULL payment 10 weeks before you go.
Thomas Cook are about the same price band as Jet 2, And they require FULL payment 12 weeks before you go.
Thomson do a few 'Odd' late dealz but they are 90% of the time departing from Gatwick, So if you can depart from Gatwick then you may be lucky?
We have Jet 2 here in Yorkshire, And because of this Thomson have moved all but a handful of holidays over to Manchester Airport.
Ryanair also now do holiday type breaks, But Ryanair is not everyone's 'Cup Of Tea':rotfl:
If you want a really cheaper holiday then I would be looking at the Alicante/Benidorm/Benalmadena/Torremolinos areas.
Tenerife is 300.00 + nowadays even for a week.
Holidays can still be found for under 200.00 at most times of the year in mainland Spain.
(There's never a right time to luck for a holiday)
Best Of Luck.:beer:Thomson 757 Man0
