Dubai Shopping Festival Hotel

Evening all,
We are going to Dubai for the shopping festival in Feb 2010. We have never been before and wondered if anyone had any advice on the area best suited location wise for the festival. We are currently looking at hotels but are unsure which ones are close to the shopping areas.
My family is staying down at jumeirah beach near the marina so we have looked at hotels there (alittle expensive). Is there any other areas/hotels worth considering from your experiences?
Preferably 4/5 star. Many thanks in advance
