Permanent blowdry

Does anyone have any experience of these? I'm seriously considering one and it would be MSE because I wouldn't have to spend so much on frizzease and electricity making my hair look half decent!

I'm in Manchester/Lancashire; if anyone has had one done near here I'd love to hear about it.

My hairdresser keeps suggesting I have this. She did say though that it would be very straight and flat and although I like my hair to be straight I do like a bit of body and lift otherwise it is too severe for me.

Thanks Lolly (my thanks button wont work, sorry). Straight and flat is what I want, so sounds good to me!

  • How does this work? Is it like the permanent straightening thing? Can you wash your hair?

    TIA

  • I've read that it's lovely at first, but, like colouring your hair - it grows out. So by the end of the 3 months you can acquire a bit of a witch-effect! A brilliant treat if you have the money though.

I get this done although didn't realise it was known as a permanent blow dry. The one I get is called a coppola keratin treatment and on my jaw length hair costs £175. It is definitely an investment and the extra 10 minutes in bed every morning makes it all worth while!

    Frizzy roots!

It's probably not that bad though, only perhaps in comparison to the absolute perfection you have prior to the regrowth.

If I had the cash, I'd do it.

Ah right! I'd be ok - I dont have frizzy hair, just bleached, which gets frizzy when it's damp, so I guess I'd be ok. Hmmm... I nu=ight just give this a go.

Thanks ali - i've seen different prices; the one I linked to said from £80 for medium length hair. 10 minutes extra in bed sounds like bliss!
