Argh, I can't take the suspense!!!

OK, so the situation is this: DH has gone on a job trial today (after 11 months out of work). Started at 6.30am, expected to finish at 3.30pm.
Hadn't heard from him by 4 so texted, just to ask how it went and that I was thinking of him all day. He replied that he was still out on the delivery route (with an experienced member of staff).
And now it's 6, and he's still not home..and I don't know if that's a good or bad sign! I don't want to text him cos if he is still with the employer, I don't want him to be bothered with texts but this is doing my head in!!!!!!!

Options are:
it's gone well and he's form filling etc to formalise the job
it went badly and he's run away from home:rolleyes:
it went well and he's gone to buy us a scrummy treat:D
it went badly and the van crashed and he's in casualty:eek:

As you can see, I am handling the situation well, NOT!!

Sorry, just needed to vent as no one about to share this with:o

Had not forgotten that option, dear sir, but he is my beloved husband and a good, hard worker who was in constant employment for all his life til 11 months ago.

So, I have considered and rejected that as an option!

    Well, he's home..
It went well; but doesn't know if he's got job yet as manager had left office by time they got back, so we have to wait to tomorrow to find out. Curses!
And, Mr SarkySolicitor, he had a pithy response to your comment which I am too much of a lady to type out. He was acting as the driver's mate today and they just had a very long round to do. So there!:naughty:

Don't be too eager - my son did 2 weeks on a work trial before being told he was to be taken on - and then had another week to go before his start date!

  • Yeah i had a week trial then got told they would keep me for a 3 month trial then i got a contract.
Also delivering jobs are notourious for wild hours, some days he could be finished quite early and others very very late.
