Have just had a quick look at the link, a lot of people are recommending currencies direct. We used them at the end of last year, they were excellent - really good rate, easy to contact my phone. We were asked to print off a form and complete, they emailed within 10 mins to say it had been received and actioned.

A big plus for us was that they said we could send money each month for mortgage payments at the commercial rate with no transfer fee - this will help a lot (when our apt. is finally built!!!4_6_109v.gif)

Hope this helps. Being nosy - where are you buying?
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Thanks Ali007 (Bulgaria BTW) we did register with them and were going to use them to send the deposit BUT Lloyds bank were cheaper, we haggled with them on the exchange rate, and refused their rubbish traveller rate and got a fab deal for £21 in the end.

we called CD back and told them and they agreed that until we get into sending larger sums the banks often do beat them.

We will use CD for the actual purchase price but the £2k deposit was better going with the bank.

    Thanks again all
