Can I swap frequent flyer ponits and how?

I have a small amount of Thai (Star Alliance) FF points that expire at the end of this year.
I had actually booked to use them last year but with the whole Bangkok airport closure had to cancel the flight and have them refunded.
I thought I heard of a site where you can swap your unused FF points with others for different airlines or other items.
Does anyone know what I am talking about or have any other suggestions as to what to do with my points?
Thanks

My recommendation would be to log into your FF account and buy the smallest denomination you can online (~1000 miles for £30 for example) to refresh your account and keep your miles active for a further 3 years.
Alternatively buy something online via their referral process (assuming they have one), or take a short flight on a codeshare using your FF number.
You can swap miles between some programmes, including changing them to use in hotel chains. This is the tool you need http://www.webflyer.com/programs/mileage_converter/Legal team on standby0 -
Thanks, but it says in the Thai handbook that any miles accrued in 1 year will expire in the 3rd calendar year after, so I think even if I had new activity, my old miles would still expire.
Please correct me if this is incorrect.
I was on holiday and saw a program on BBC world news where it showed sites for exchaning your FF points/miles, but I can't remember/find it now!0
