Unfairly charged by holiday company

I recently went on a Thomas Cook/Direct Holidays holiday to Greece, it was advertised on the Thomas Cook website as a "7 night" holiday.
However, my return flight from Greece departed at 0555 on the 8th day of my holiday, and Thomas Cook's "policy" is not to include in the price, accommodation for the night of the flight (the 7th night).
I had to pay an additional 30 euros for a room to use, otherwise I would have had to check out at 12 noon on the 7 day, and would have had no where to leave my suitcase etc.
This meant that even though the holiday was advertised and booked as a 7 night holiday, only 6 nights of accommodation were included in the price.
Can anybody advise me if I have indeed been unfairly charged, if the holiday company is allowed to do this, and if I can get my 30 euros reimbursed?

I'm sorry I can't figure this out, you say you only got 6 nights accommodation but you actually left on day 8 so you were made to check out by 12 noon after night 6 but your flight wasn't for another 41.55 hours?0

My flight was 0555 on Monday 7th September, I have to check out at 12 noon on Sunday, meaning I would not have had accommodation for Sunday night, the 7 night, had I not paid 30 euros extra.0

If the flight was at 5.55am, what time did you leave the hotel?Gone ... or have I?0

Arrived at 0600 on Monday 31st August (overnight flight counts as 1st night of holiday), and left 0555 on Monday 7th September.0

The day you arrived at 0600 is classed as the 1st night or you would have had to wait until around 3pm to check in to the room.I heart The Capital

Were you able to check in at 6am? If so, you did get seven nights of accom, as your accom would have been booked from the Sunday night.

These are the worst flights ever. They will get round it because your room will have been held from 2pm on 30th August. We had a midnight flight once and had to vacate the room by midday. We were lucky that the hotel held our bags for us with no further charge until our coach picked us up at 9pm. I would never go on holiday again with these flights. Much prefer morning departure and afternoon arrival home.

We had a 1:30am flight and arrived at our hotel at 7am and like yourself left the hotel at around 1am for a 4:55am flight. We were glad we could have our room when we got there with two 5 year olds
its just they way it works. they didn't unfairly charge you im afraid. I heart The Capital
