Pay rise Advice!

Hi all, After some advice please, I have been working for the same company part time now for 3 years why I am at uni. Since being with them I have been promised three pay rises by different managers but have got none had one so far. The other day I found out that three members of staff who do the same job as me earn more money than me what I think is unfair. As I do work hard and alway seem to be the last person in the store working why all the other who get paid more have gone home. I have spoken to the mangers and they have said they will give me one but I need to justify why I should get one also I need to do all this other stuff that I know the other members of the team are not doing.( I also think even if i did do this they would find another reason not to give me one) So I dont know what to do should I think I have three options 1. Case the pay rise and hope I get it. 2. Look for new job. 3. Just do the work I am meant too and start and leave on time and do as little as possible to help them. any advice would be really helpful thanks a lot Guys.....

Sounds like you're highly valued by your employer.
Personally, I'd look elsewhere mate.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

I would put in writing why you feel you should get more and if they reject it look elsewhere. Being polite throughout of course.Debt free 4th April 2007.

Seems clear to me that you do one thing at a time, in order. First of all, you request the pay rise. If the answer is yes, great happy days. If the answer is no, you do both of the other points, scale down your work to be commensurate with your pay and search for alternative employment.0
