Urgent: best value - Orange or Asda PAYG?
Hi,
I need to know by the end of today, which is better (I can't seem to do the maths): Both are PAYG:
Asda - Flat rate of 8p per min talk time, 4p per text
Orange - On Canary tarrif, spend £10, get 20p per min talk time, 10p per text AND ALSO 100 free minutes talk eves & w/e's.
I can only afford to put £10 on the mobile.
Very grateful.

Hey, I think I've worked it out! Please advise if incorrect:
Asda - deal is equivalent to: 125 mins OR 250 texts
Orange - deal is equivalent to: 50 mins PLUS 150 mins talk time OR 100 texts
So, the choice is based on whether talk time or texting appeals most.
OR, the greater 'weighting' seems to be Asda (everything added together gives 375, whereas Orange is 300).0 -
BTW: The above calculations are based on a £10 spend.0

WRONG !
Orange is 150 mins talk time (= free 100 mins, plus £10/20p per call)
Still slightly confused..0 -
It all depends on your usage, you haven't explained your mobile usage (texts vs calls), nor when you mainly use your phone0
-
That's for me to conclude - I was only asking about the maths.0

You are so bloody rude I am surprised you have anyone to call or text anyway! Incidentally Three offer a better PAYG deal if you are only putting on £10.00 per month.Official SOS Club number 011 - Dry until 17/11/20090

Not rude at all: As I say "the choice is based on whether talk time or texting appeals most".0
