Alliance and Leicester Charges from Feb and July of this year

Hi there, I need some assistance on an account I open in November last year.
I incured charges of £75 in February and £55 in July and am keen to claim these back. I was wondering if I would have to send letters to claim the money back or do you think a phone call would suffice?
I look forward to your responses and thank you in advance.

I incurred a fee of £30 for a returned cheque in June with Nationwide and asked for a refund as it was my first time this had happened. The guy I spoke to had a word with his manager and when he came back a little later he told me that they would deduct the fee from my account.
So try phoning first and ask A&L for a refund. If that's not successful then write them a letter.
