Ros! d’Anjou wines are the perfect complement to this exhibition, as they appeal to a broad range of wine drinkers – from every walk of life. Ros! d’Anjou is a salmon-coloured, off-dry ros! wine produced by winemakers from around Angers in France’s Loire Valley. Attractive on the nose, with lots of fresh red fruit and subtle hints of mint and white pepper, it’s made very often from a blend of Grolleau and Cabernet Franc grapes. A versatile and accessible wine, it’s perfect with a whole range of foods: from ham sandwiches to lobster and quails’ eggs. It also goes perfectly with Asian cuisine, as well as cold meats, chicken, barbecues and a host of salads. And of course, it is also excellent to slowly sip when contemplating great art.
Visitors to the Gallery can enjoy a refreshing glass of Ros! d’Anjou at the National Portrait Gallery Restaurant.
