Despite reading several threads and Vodafone rep providing a link

and promised that you can cancel by email, I phoned up 191 on Friday to be told that you can't cancel by email, it must be in writing because they need to see a signature. I told the the advisor that the website says you can cancel by email, but she said that's wrong!
Even more confusing is, the link given by vodafone web rep gives a Doncaster address, but the advisor gave me an address in Oxon.
Anyone had success cancelling via email?
Can Vodafone online rep comment on this please?
Thanks.

Deja vu
I sent an email to end mine asking for PAC code 30 days prior to end date.
Got phone call from them - chap was trying to offer me 30 day contracts. I said I had already asked for cancellation. He said you have to write in, to which I replied I had sent email already. Oh ok he said.
Contract ended, turned to pay and go.
Basically I asked them to give me pac code and turn the contract to pay and go in 30 days time.0 -
Hi happyhunter,
I can assure you that it is possible to cancel an account via email so please accept my apologies for the confusion here.
Can I ask why you're looking to cancel with us? If you still need some help with this just email your details to me using the 'Contact us' form on our website which you get can get to here and I'll take a closer look at things for you.
When sending the email could you also include within the body of it a link to this thread and state the code WRT135 within the subject line to make sure it comes through to us?
Many thanks,
Lee
