Submit Best Offer?

For a while i have added the best offer facility to my listings as i am prepeared to comprimise on the price a little, and i used to get reasonable offers every now and then that i would accept. Recently i seem to get several a day and they are for stupid amounts im talking like a third of the listing price or less, very often for smaller amounts than what i have bought the products for. So now i am just about to remove the Best Offer facility from everything in my eBay shop as it is wasting a lot of my time dealing with silly offers.

What does everyonelse think, is best offer a good idea? does it work for you? i dont think its a bad facility just not working for me at the moment!

My 'best offers' vary quite a bit. I had a few that were close enough to actual price to accept, but yesterday I had several from the same buyer on a load of my books and they were all less than a quarter of the BIN price, so I refused the lot.

I've really only just started using the Best office facility, (on the excellent advice from a thread on here) and will leave it a bit longer to see how it works out.

Only been offered this an odd time , the thing is nowadays people want goods on ebay for as little as possible , add to the fact that there are millions of the same items listed it a buyers paradise ! Personally i think ebay for myself is finished , as a seller unless you have that SPECIAL LINE something different from the rest then all you are doing is feeding the ebay paypot by high fees....

Rumours of eBay's demise may be a leetle premature. . . but there's no doubt, eBay is worried about its future: the money may still be rolling in, but latest results show it isn't as many, er, billions as expected.

eBay denies it has any problems with Google as a potentially major competitor -- but if eBay does link up with Microsoft, as the financial Press is speculating, then that could well confirm that eBay's glory days are over.
