This plastering job seems expensive to me.

Hack off wall of plaster and dispose of £130
Plastering wall with coat of hardwall where bare brick and final skim coat to whole wall £325
Filling and patching up around the house including all the ceiling holes £140
Seems quite a lot for just one wall, he had to remove the radiator. Does this seem fair, make me wonder how much it will cost to re-plaster the whole room? Thanks

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but as my request is about plastering also I thought I would post here too - hope that is okay?

I've just been quoted £1200 + VAT to skim plaster two medium size rooms (where the wall is Fly Ash) and re-plasterboard one wall in one of the rooms.

Does anyone know if this is reasonable?

Yours seem ok considering mine is only to plaster one wall in a 12 by 12 room. Hope somebody will come along to advise us.

Loulou most of it seems ok, but the 2nd one i would say about £250.

Jezebel bit on the steep side, i would charge about £900 no vat (not vat registered) for that.

We are paying our plasterer £150 per day, plus material costs. We're in the south east.

Thanks, he did a good job, got him through the builder, guess he must take a commission. Are material expensive? £150 a day seems good unless he is slow.

We pay our plasterer £10 per hour and we provide the materials (he just gives me a list), last plastering he did for me was skimming a small room (10x8), £80 (+ materials I provided)
